Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been won on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player secured his maiden title for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has experienced a challenging period, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serve in especial - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately parting ways with long-term trainer Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over challenger Moutet.
It is his maiden championship after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hard surface after March of that year.
The win also means Medvedev has achieved twenty-one titles at twenty-one various events.
"For the first time I am participating in a event with my two daughters together, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," stated ranked player the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, including in Halle in the past months.
Medvedev's counter-punching approach and regular reactions on the playing surface had caused commentators to doubt if his ability to perform at the highest level was finished.
Yet the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, striving to advance forward and compete aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.
He recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, taking four of the final five exchanges to gain the advantage.
The competitors exchanged break points in the middle set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial tour victory, gained dominance to force a decider.
The opponent rescued four early opportunities in a tight final set before the champion broke to fifteen to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev secured victory with a point at the net, with Moutet failing to manage a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
